A wonderful day volunteering for ArtsonPrescription.org and Art in the Park for the Jubilee. Bringing people together to create in community and provide joyful creative activities for kids and adults alike. Tree walks, choirs, live music, painting, embroidery, story telling, Qi Gong, wellbeing, making and decorating paper 'princesses' and 'princes', a raffle, 'and so much more!' Well done Tara Reddy, Caroline Hughes and all the volunteers for making it happen! ❤️

Hello there! I am teaching a two hour class, every week on a Tuesday afternoon, from 1 - 3 pm from Tuesday 10th May.
Interpreting nature through painting.
At the bowling pavilion in Alexandra Park.
A six-week painting course on Tuesday afternoons from 1 - 3 pm, from May 10th to 14th June.

Course outline: We will be drawing inspiration from the beauty surrounding us in the park, using paint, drawing and collage on canvas and paper. Creating our own visual language through looking at nature. We will be creating in community, and discussing what nature means to us. No prior painting experience necessary. Materials are included. Online Painting Classes
My self-paced online art classes are £150 GBP payable via Paypal. Email me on alicejulietmason@gmail.com or use the contact form above. I will send you all the links to work on the painting in your own time as a self-paced course. I give simple gentle instructions and you can stop and start the videos in your own time. I have many online art classes. I also hold these classes one-to-one, via Zoom. The one-to-one classes are £300 (GBP) payable via Paypal or bank transfer, and are taken over a six week period, two hours per week. We can work out the time of the one-to-one classes to our mutual convenience,

My Archetypes workshop in Spain September 2020
One thing I have is a certain determination, and when I was approached by a lovely woman who lives in Almeria earlier in the year about my art retreats, and whether I would be holding one after the lockdown, I envisaged that somehow I would make it happen. And happen it did. I didn’t push it, but it just worked out beautifully that two more local women heard about it and wanted to join us, and combined with a 5 km walk along an acequia to friend and writer Chris Stewart and his wife Ana’s beautiful farm and a delicious lunch prepared by Chris and a tour of the farm by Ana, we had a wonderful creative explorative week. We painted every day, and barely stopped for lunch and I was so happy that people got so much out of it. It is a truth that painting heals, and there has been so much to process and assimilate this year, we all needed it like food. Exploring Jungian Archetypes through my self-devised method and process was deeply revealing.
Outside my window, every night sometimes until two am, the old ladies sit and crochet and talk together in the street. It’s as though they are weaving and talking the world to rights. What a beautiful way to live. Inside we painted and talked and it was similar. The conversation flowed with the paint as we painted our worlds into healing and cohesion.

Portraits
Here are some examples of portraits I have painted in recent years . The first is one of my own daughter, the second is a commission from a lady who wanted to be portrayed as Titania with a hummingbird and the third is a friend in her lavender field in Crete, the fourth is a family commission. I am open to commissions of individuals or familes, siblings, lovers, married couples, etc through sent photos, using elements of your choice. Together we work through the progress of your painting and I send updates of the progress of the painting through email or WhatsApp. Prices start from £450 GBP and upwards, dependent on size and complexity. For example a painting measuring 30 cm by 40 cm, (12 inches by 16 inches) would cost £450 (GBP), plus shipping, sent via Royal Mail international tracked-and-signed-for, and insured for shipping. As the size goes up, per 10 cm in measurement, so the price rises by £100, so a painting 40 cm by 50 cm (16 inches by 20 inches) would cost £550 (GBP) plus shipping. Paintings can be sent worldwide.
Sensual / Erotic Art

Strata
Strata. A recent painting. Complex, layered, patterned. I love complexity in art and music and I was listening to music by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, specifically ‘As Wichita Falls, So Falls Wichita,’ which is such a sublime and visionary album with so many layers, soundscapes, rhythms, and moods. It helped me create this piece. I sort of describe this process or genre in painting as Abstract Decorative. It’s becoming more of a direction for me, and I feel more and more compelled to paint this way.
